Laura Kidder has been a print and digital travel editor for 24 years, with in-house stints as editorial director at both Fodor’s Travel Guides and Rand McNally. She’s covered much of the United States; all of the Caribbean and Latin America; and countless destinations in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific. Her latest projects have included developing content for Rand McNally’s iconic line of road atlases and digital trip-planning tools as well as specialty publications focusing on travel, culture, and history along and just off America’s highways and byways.
